A downloadable game for Windows

"Who am I?"

This game is about "exploring" someone's mind full of... self-hate. It can be finished in less than 15 minutes.

----------

Changelog:

- Fixed a bug with the typing text animation where characters didn't appear correctly,
- The sound volume is now more consistent,

Big thanks to DevilWolf2000 for helping me and actively testing the game!

----------

"Who am I?" is a question I ask myself this question a lot, and this week I wanted to make a little game about that after seeing @Millot's work with "Egress". I have taken some inspiration from breakcore music and aesthetics. The game is "ugly" on purpose btw, so don't hit me with that.
I also have taken some inspiration from my own life (that's why called myself.exe), but don't worry I'm totally fine ;)

I do not plan to update it unless bugs are found, but I don't think that will be a problem. It's also my first public project, and I currently want to work on another project I had in mind, but It's complicated because of school, so don't expect it so be release soon.

Thank you for reading and I hope you will enjoy the game!

Hey the game need little bit more fixing I forgot to say when I first played your game the sound is a bit quiet at the beginning of the game and when I go to where the gun is and when I shot myself into the next area the sound in that area is much louder for some reason, and then in that part where there is that big tree, when this person talk the text is missing there something like that happened otherwise your game already looks so much better anyway again WELL DONE AND ALWAYS KEEP IT UP!!!! :3

Hello and thanks again!

I’ve fixed the issues you found:

  • For the typing animation, I’ve completely revamped the code behind that because it was too dependent on the frame rate of the game, which really change between different computers.
  • For the sound, I forgot to replace a ‘+’ with a ‘-’ while copy-pasting my own code. I’m changing the sound like that because the corridor music is really loud, so I need to lower it manually.

Thank you again for your feedback and your kind words!

(I’ve started working on the second game I had in mind… Stay tuned!)

Nice this was really good game I like it very much but there bit bug the first I accidentally fell through the world second time then when I get forward from the gun point I fell again through the world and the third time the gun disappears and I can't move forward and does the game automatically start from the beginning again? but the game is really good anyway well done and keep it up!

Hello and thank you for your feedback!

Falling through the map is intentional: as you can see in game, there are holes on the ground.

BUT, I’ve noticed for whatever reason that the game object I use to teleport the player to the third place mysteriously comes back to the origin (it didn’t happen in my tests), and I’m currently working on that. Also, the “void” I’m using always teleports you to the first place, even if you have completed it. I’m fixing that too.

Thank you again!

Everything should be good now! Let me know if you still have a problem with the game :)
